Hey there!
Here is this week's edition of Conservationist Content...

2 Things in this week's Nat-News:

*Nat-News is the cool way to say Nature News. But in like, millennial speak. We shorten words. That's kind of our thing. Oh, and getting trophies regardless of how we do. Those are our things.

1️⃣ The Colorado River is Drying UpLink: CNN//Full Story
Too long, didn't read: After a 20 year drought, climate change and overuse, reservoirs on the Colorado River are sinking. Which is ... not exactly great. Water cutbacks could start as early as next year.

2️⃣ US Senators Seek Ban On Big Cat OwnershipLink: BBC//Full Story
Too long, didn't read: The Big Cat Public Safety Act, which will ban the ownership of big cats, was announced last week in the Senate. It has already passed the House with an overwhelming vote of 272 to 114. For context: There are more captive tigers in the U.S. than tigers in the wild.

2 ideas from me:

1️⃣ Little things add up to big results. Make it a daily habit to notice the trees and plants on your way to work. A little bit of mindfulness can go a long way. Noticing the environment we live in, can help us appreciate our place in it. Also - looking at trees is good for you!

2️⃣ Climate change will continue to be a significant element of public discourse. Let's learn a little bit about it.

- This was total self promotion.

- But you could still click the link: Link

- Do it. Turn around and click it.

2 Things you should read:

1️⃣ This Introduction Article! I explain why you should think about conservation and environmentalism. I talk a bit about the reasons why I care and I tell some jokes.

2️⃣ Climate article - Okay yes, this is the same article as above. But you didn’t click it the first time, so is it really my fault? Anyway… Climate science is important, and it is growing in importance, but it’s confusing. I try to give a nice baseline for how I think about climate and how to put all the numbers and graphs into perspective.
