Hey there!

Here is this week's edition of Conservationist Content Newsletter.

2 Things in this week's Nat-News:

*Nat-News is the cool way to say Nature News. But in like, millennial speak. We shorten words. That's kind of our thing.

1️⃣ Net Zero by 2050 Report

Link: International Energy Agency//Full Report

Too long, didn't read: The International Energy Agency released a major report outlining how, and why countries have to go after bigger climate goals. Like way bigger.

There are 400+ milestones, so here are 3...

1. 2021 - Block all new gas and oil field developments

2. 2035 - Overall net‐zero emissions electricity in all advanced economies

3. 2040 - Phased out of all gas and coal power

What does this report matter? The UN Climate Change Conference is this November and this will certainly be an area of discussion in an effort to try and set out a plan to achieve the goal of limiting warming to only 1.5 degrees higher.

2️⃣ It's been a wild week in weather and climate change

Link: CNN//Full Story

Too long, didn't read: "Zombie fires." "Ice jam." "Furious cyclone." "World's largest iceberg." <-- All headlines from this week, real ones. Zombie Fires. Sleep tight!

2 ideas from me:

1️⃣ When was the last time you were somewhere and didn't encounter/use a human made structure. Try and get out onto a path next weekend, and take the long way.

2️⃣ Ford announced the new 2022 F-150 Lightning this week. It's cool. It's electric. It's verrrryyy important. Fun-o fact-o: The F-150 is the best selling vehicle in America. Yup. Of any type. The new pick-up touts 563hp and speeds of 0-60 in 4.5 seconds, which is... awesome.

2 quotes by people smarter than I:

1️⃣ "Let me never fall into the vulgar mistake of dreaming that I am persecuted whenever I am contradicted." - Ralph Waldo Emerson

2️⃣ “We could become a generation that not only wanted change but were willing to change.” - Chris Macdonald

Thanks for making it this far down the page, I appreciate you,

- Josh
